Community Pillars

Our Community

The Melbourne Rebels exist to enrich the lives of our people and our community through Rugby Union.

We strive to be a progressive and inclusive club that develops programs and initiatives which are meaningful and authentic to our community.

We truly believe Rugby is a game for everybody that can promote a sense of belonging, improve health and fitness, and give purpose and a sense of contribution.

All Abilities

Rugby is truly a game for every body, and this is never more prevalent than when it comes to Rugby players of all abilities. All Abilities Rugby in Victoria is highlighted by Wheelchair Rugby, Sense Rugby, and Deaf Rugby.

Pasifika Celebration R11

Pasifika

People with Pacific Island heritage (Pasifika) make a significant contribution to the game of Rugby in Victoria. Approximately 65% of Rugby participants in Victoria are of Pasifika heritage, and similar numbers are represented in our Super Rugby, Super W, and junior pathways programs.

First Nations

Melbourne Rebels acknowledge the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation as Traditional Owners of the land on which we reside, and recognise their ongoing connection to this land, and rich culture.

Gender Equality Rebels

Gender Equality

Rugby truly is a game for everyone, and the Melbourne Rebels are committed to growing the leadership, profile, and opportunities of Women at every level of Rugby.
