Melbourne Rebels Frequently Asked Attendance Questions For Super Rugby AU Matches (Updated 17 June)
Q1. What is the latest information on attendance at our first home game on Friday 10 July?
As you may have seen in the press, the admission of any persons into professional sporting fixtures other than players, coaches and media has been under the direction and regulation of each State Government. We have already seen some lucky NRL and AFL fans be able to attend matches in recent weekends under very strict and limited attendance provisions.
From July 1, several states will be allowing fans to attend up to 25% of stadium capacity for those venues with a capacity of less than 40,000 (i.e. maximum 10,000) in line with the stage 3 COVID rollback provisions as outlined by the Federal Government. At this stage, the Victorian State Government has not confirmed their position, however, it is not likely to be in place in Victoria as of 1st of July.
With our first home game on 10 July, we remain optimistic that we will be able to allow our members and fans back at the Stockade and we are consultation with AAMI Park and various related stakeholders for how we can achieve this. Ultimately, we will need to continue to follow the advice, regulations and any restrictions imposed by the State Government first and foremost.
Q2. If restrictions ease in Victoria, will all members be able to attend?
Members and corporate partners will be our first priority as soon as we are given approval for fans to attend AAMI Park on matchday. The number of fans able to attend will be determined by the State Government’s regulations at the time.
In the event that we are not permitted a sufficient capacity to allow all members to attend, then we will be implementing a member ballot which will select those members who will be invited to attend based on a combination of your membership type and tenure as a member.
Q3. Will I be able to sit in my normal seat?
Due to current social distancing requirements, we are working with the venue and ticketing agents to ensure that every seat meets relevant State Government restrictions which may mean that we cannot guarantee you will be able to sit in your normally allocated seat.
In the event that match attendance is permitted, is likely that new digital tickets will be issued to all members invited to attend with the location of your allocated seat to be based on your membership type to ensure you can still enjoy as comparable as possible a view to your normal seat.
Q4. I had not picked up my member merchandise this season, can I collect this at the game?
We will have more information once member attendance is confirmed but our intention is to have pick up available at all games outside the venue.

Q5. What is a My Rugby ID or Member ID?
Each member of the Melbourne Rebels holds a My Rugby ID which may also be referred to as your Member ID. Your My Rugby ID number appears on the back of your member card.
Q6. How do I log into my Rebels account?

Q7. Are there any password changes when logging in to renew my 2020 Membership?
No. If you cannot remember your password from 2019, please use the reset password functionality upon logging in.
Q8. How many home games will the Melbourne Rebels host in 2020?
The Melbourne Rebels will have eight (8) scheduled home games as part of the regular home and away season in 2020.
Q9. When will the Melbourne Rebels home and away draw be released for the 2020 season?
The 2020 Super Rugby draw will be released early September. Please check the Melbourne Rebels website and social media channels.
Q10. Are all members on the Auto-Renewal for 2020?
Yes, if you were a member in 2019 your membership will be automatically renewed for 2020.
Q11. How do I opt out of the Auto-Renewal?You will need to contact the club to opt out of the Auto-Renewal before the 9th of September 2019. Email us at email@example.com or call us on 1300 GO REBELS (46 73 23).
Q12. What date is the Auto-Renewal?
The Auto-Renewal will be on the 16th of September 2019. If you are on the automatic roll-over you will be charged on this day.
Q13. When should I expect my membership pack delivery?
In 2020, the Melbourne Rebels will only be sending you your Member Card and Lanyard. You will need to collect your member merchandise from either Melbourne Rebels HQ at AAMI Park, the Season Launch function in December, or at any Melbourne Rebels home game. The club will be in contact with exact dates & timings later in 2019.
Q14. How can I become a Member?

Q15. What is the process to change seats in 2020?
To change your seats, you can request your new position (e.g. closer to an existing Member or change in field position) as part of your online order. If you are on the Auto-Renewal please email firstname.lastname@example.org to request a seat change. New members will have the chance to choose a seat as part of the online order if booking through the portal over the website. If this is done over the phone, you will be allocated best available seat. If you renew before the seat cut-off date, 14th October 2019, you are guaranteed your 2019 reserved seat. Should you renew after the seat cut-off date and your seats have been reallocated you will then be allocated the next best available.
Q16. Are there any changes to the seating at AAMI Park in 2020 for the Rebels season?
The seating configuration will be the same as the 2019 season. If you have any questions regarding seating, please contact us on 1300 GO REBELS (46 73 23).
Q17. What are the category limits?
Children three (3) years old or younger will be admitted to Rebels matches free of charge, however they must be seated on the lap of an accompanying adult. Junior age: sixteen (16) years or under as at 1st October 2019. A family ticket is four (4) seats and consists of either two (2) Adults & two (2) Juniors OR one (1) Adult and three (3) Juniors (aged sixteen (16) years or under as at 1st October 2019). A Concession membership applies to holders of a current Pensioner Card (aged, single parent or disability), or Veteran Affairs or TPI Association of Victoria card, or a student holding a full-time Student Card for 2020. A foundation member is an individual who has been a member of the Melbourne Rebels in each and every Super Rugby home and away season that the Melbourne Rebels have participated in, since commencement of the 2011 Super Rugby Competition
Q18. What is the process for Super Rugby Finals ticketing?
All 2020 members will be entitled to priority access to purchase tickets to Super Rugby Finals matches that are hosted by the Melbourne Rebels. Should the Rebels qualify to host any of the 2020 finals series matches, members will be contacted regarding priority booking arrangements. Should a home final be played at AAMI Park, the Rebels cannot guarantee the same seat(s) allocated to members during the 2020 Super Rugby home and away season. You may request the same seat with the ticketing agency at the time of purchase; however, this is subject to availability. Members’ priority periods may vary depending on the level of membership held. The order of ticket booking priority for Finals Matches is as follows:

Q19. What Payment Methods are accepted?
VISA, MasterCard or American Express, cheque or cash (if paying in person at the Melbourne Rebels office). You may also purchase on game day with the same payment methods above.
Q20. Is the Part Payment option available for 2020 Rebels Memberships?
Yes, the part payment option will be available for 2020 Memberships. This is available for Weary Dunlop, Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Blue only.
Q21. Is there a process fee to sign up for the Melbourne Rebels Payment Plan?
No, compared to previous years, there is no fee to sign up to the Melbourne Rebels payment plan.
Q22. When will the monthly payments be taken out of my account for the Rebels Memberships?
Payment will be taken on the 15th of September, October, November, December 2019 and January, February, March, April of 2020 unless this date falls on a weekend or Public holiday, in which case it will be deducted on the following business working day.
Q23. What will appear on my Credit Card statement once a part payment is deducted?
‘MelbRebelsMembership’ will appear as the description on your statement when a payment is taken from your credit card.
Q24. My credit card details need to be updated, how can I update this?
If you log onto the Rebels account and select ‘My Account’ this will allow you to update your credit card details. If you are having any issues please call us on 1300 GO REBELS (1300 46 73 23).
Q25. How can I cancel my Rebels payment plan?
To opt out of the Monthly Payment Plan at the conclusion of your last instalment you must notify Melbourne Rebels Membership Team via email to email@example.com at least seven days prior to the first instalment for the following season. All outstanding payments must be complete at time of opting out. You may also cancel you part payment mid-season by paying the remaining value of your membership in full, fees may apply.
Q26. What if I miss a payment, what happens?
In the event that a payment is rejected the Rebels team will inform the member via phone or email. It is the responsibility of the member to ensure that all contact information is kept up to date with Melbourne Rebels.
Q27. What is the cut-off date to sign up for the Rebels payment plan?
To be eligible for the Payment Plan you must renew or purchase your membership by COB on 15th February 2020. If a member purchases a membership after the first instalment date (15th September 2019) the value of your membership will be split over the remaining payment dates.
Q28. How much will it cost to purchase a ticket to a Rebels home game?
Match day ticket prices for 2020 Melbourne Rebels home matches are yet to be released. Once they have been finalised they will be published at www.melbournerebels.com and on the Melbourne Rebels social media platforms.
Q29. Do Rebels Members get discounts on match day tickets?
Melbourne Rebels members will get a discount on all match day tickets excluding Weary Dunlop Lounge for 2020.
Q30. Can I purchase additional tickets next to my season seat allocation for the game day?
Additional tickets can be purchased leading up to a game by either emailing the Melbourne Rebels membership and ticketing team at firstname.lastname@example.org, or phoning 1300 GO REBELS (46 73 23).
Q31. How do I purchase tickets for Rebels away games?
Whilst the Melbourne Rebels do not sell tickets to away games, we will be able to advise who you can purchase these through online.
Q32. Is there parking at AAMI Park?
Parking throughout the Melbourne and Olympic Parks (MOPT) is severely limited and not controlled by the Melbourne Rebels. Please visit www.aamipark.com.au for more information.
Q33. Is there public transport available to and from the match?
Take any metro train to Richmond Station or Tram: Route 70 (AAMI Park stop or Hisense Arena stop) which will get you very close to the ground. AAMI Park is approximately a 20 minute walk from Flinders Street station. For full public transport information please click here
Q34. How do we purchase Disability seating & carers Memberships?
Please call the Membership Line on 1300 GO REBELS (46 73 23) to arrange for specialty seating requests. The Melbourne Rebels are also committed to providing your companion with a complimentary membership to enable them to accompany you to games.
Q35. Can I get a replacement membership card if mine goes missing?
Replacement membership cards can be organised by either emailing the Melbourne Rebels membership team at email@example.com or calling 1300 GO REBELS (46 73 23).
Q36. What happens if my membership card doesn’t arrive before the game, how do I get into the game?
If your membership card does not arrive before the game, you will be able to print off an Ezy ticket to scan in at the game. For more instructions on how to access your Ezy ticket please call the membership team on 1300 GO REBELS (46 73 23), or log into your Melbourne Rebels account and click on ‘My Profile’ then ‘Ezy ticket’.
Q37. Can I upgrade my seat at a game?
Ticket upgrades can be arranged either through the Melbourne Rebels membership and ticketing team before the game by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 1300 GO REBELS (46 73 23).
Q38. Can I go to the post game function?
All Platinum Members have access to the post-game function on Level 2. Gold Members will be invited to attend on three pre-determined occasions and Silver Members will be invited on one occasion. This will be communicated in the Member Newsletter leading up to the match and listed on the website after the Season Draw is announced.
Q39. When will the Flexi Memberships go on sale?
Flexi memberships will be on sale from the 16th of September 2019.
Q40. How many games will the Flexi membership entitle me to attend?
The Flexi Membership will allow you access into (3) three available home games in 2020.
Q41. What categories will be available to purchase for the Flexi Memberships?
Platinum, Gold and Blue memberships will be available to purchase when these go on-sale in 2019.
Q42. Do I need to nominate my three games?
No, your membership card will automatically be cancelled after you attend 3 games.
Q43. As a Flexi Platinum or Gold Member do I have an allocated seat?
Yes, as a Flexi Member you will have an allocated seat for the games you have nominated.
