Here's what you need to know for Game Day at the Stockade

A massive Super Rugby double header comes to AAMI Park this Friday night as the Melbourne Rebels clash with their Aussie conference rivals, the NSW Waratahs.

The Rebels Women begin their Super W campaign at 4:40 pm, while the Rebels kick off at 7:15 pm. 

You don’t want to miss a second of the action, so here’s some information to help you plan ahead and have the best match day experience possible! 

Directions

With on-site parking being limited, public transport is the best way to travel to the big game.

Bus routes within an easy walking distance:

  • Bus 246 (Latrobe Uni – Elsternwick Station) stops at the corner of Olympic Boulevard and Punt Road.

Train stations within easy walking distance include Richmond, Jolimont and Flinders Street Station which you can walk across via the Tanderrum Bridge.

Alternatively, nearby trams include:

  • Tram 70 ( Wattle Park) from Flinders Street and Richmond Stations.These stop at Rod Laver Arena, Hisense/ Melbourne arena and AAMI Park (Stop 7D).
  • Tram 48 ( North Balwyn) and Tram 75 (Vermont South) stops adjacent to MCG on Wellington Parade.  

If you are driving, the Melbourne and Olympic Parks’ Eastern Car Park is the primary parking area, located by heading to Entrance D on Olympic Boulevard.

Depending on availability, you can book parking until 11.59pm the day before.

Tickets

Beat the rush and grab yours now by visiting our ticketing page in the website!

But If you are purchasing tickets at the ground, ticket sales booth E and F open at 4:00 pm, located on the forecourt of Olympic Boulevard.

Gates

The Ticket Office opens at 4:00 pm, while the main entrance (Gates 2 and 7) opens at 4:30 pm. Suite ticket holders must enter Gate 5 from 6:15 pm onwards.  

Corporate Hospitality

For guests of the Chairman’s Club Function and the Weary Dunlop, proceedings will take place at the Olympic Room 2 and 3 respectively.

Corporate collections will be made available from 5.30 pm onwards at Gate 4, with gates opening at 5.30 pm.

General attendees for the Eureka Lounge held at the Olympic Room 1, can enter via Gate 2 and up the stairs from 6:15 pm onwards.

Guests with prams can enter via Gate 4.

Inner Sanctum Club Tour

Guests must arrive at Gate 5 at 4:15 pm.

Membership Collection

Membership merchandise collections will be held at Gosch’s Paddock from 4.00 pm onwards.

Make sure to arrive early to avoid the cues!

Bags

To uphold the safety of those in attendance, all bags will be checked upon entrance, so please arrive early to avoid delay. 

Bags are permitted into the stadium however they must safely fit under the patron’s seat without impeding access.

Partner Activations

Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation

VRGF will be handing out Melbourne Rebels team photos and their ‘Love of the Game’ message of gambling responsibly. Make sure you pick up your team poster to have it signed post-game and go into the draw to compete in their half time activation.

The half time activation will see two lucky contestants getting the chance to battle it out in a race to dress up in order to win a once in a lifetime Melbourne Rebels Inner Sanctum Experience. Located at Gosch’s Paddock, VRGF’s giveaway will occur pre-game, so make sure you head down early and grab a poster before they all run out!

Roll’d

Our new partner Roll’d will be handing out discount vouchers to enjoy their Sumer of Soldiers – delicious rice paper rolls with fresh ingredients! They’ll be handing out vouchers pre-game on Gosch’s Paddock and post-game as you make your way home.

Mimecast 

Mimecast will have the Human Error on display. Make sure you cheer him on as he races to score a try and basks in all the glory of being a professional Rugby player.

More Fun and Games

From 5 pm onwards, catch Vic the Rebel mascot, have some fun with our inflatable dartboard or get your face painted by one of our friendly face painters who’ll be roving Gosch’s Paddock!

Weather

And last but not least, remember to dress to the weather! Friday’s forecast suggests tomorrow evening will be a hot one (29 degrees), with a high risk of rain and scattered thunderstorms.
