As part of our Citizen Watches Spending Time series, we sit down with a former Rebel to discuss their time wearing the five stars.

This week we caught up with flying outside back Cam Crawford.

What has post-Super Rugby life looked like for you?

Busy! On the personal front I married my long-time partner Georgie and we have since had a baby girl Marnie who is now 14 months old.

I'm back living in Sydney; I work as an Associate Financial Adviser at Morgan Stanley, where my team manages investment portfolios for high-net-worth individuals and families.

Have you been following the Rebels 2020 campaign?

Always a big rugby fan, I'm watching games when I can - I'm definitely still following the Rebels.

After a tough start to the season they've steadied the ship nicely with the addition of Matt Tomua at 10 a big factor.

What were some of your favourite memories during your time at AAMI Park?

AAMI Park is honestly one of the best stadiums I had the pleasure of playing at.

I distinctly remember Tamati Ellison, in his final season of Super Rugby, putting on an absolute clinic at 13 in our win over the Cheetahs in 2016.

He was one-step ahead of opposition all night - it was a pleasure to watch from the best spot in the house, sitting outside him on the wing.

Who was your favourite teammate to play with and why?

I'll go with Nick Stirzacker.

Pinpoint pass, huge ticker and a typically competitive srum-half.

You just knew he was doing his best to not let you down every time he laced them up. That's all you can ask of a teammate.

Great taste in music off the field too as his gym playlists were always on-point!

What do you miss the most about playing for the Rebels?

I think my body continues to thank me every day since retiring haha! But like any footy, I miss the camaraderie that comes with playing together as a group.

You're never going to be able to replicate the bond you form with your teammates as you line up for each on-field battle. I was fortunate to make a lot of great friends at the Rebels who I'm still close with today.

Melbourne is known for its strong coffee and café culture – during your playing days, where was your favourite spot to go during a day off?

I'm a deli guy. Alimentari (Brunswick Street) in Fitzroy is hard to beat when looking for a sandwich lunch/coffee combo. I still dream about those meatball wraps!
