History will be made tonight, when the Melbourne Rebels clash with the Queensland Reds at Brookvale Oval in Round 2 of the Vodafone Super Rugby AU competition.

The game marks the first ever occasion the Rebels have hosted a home game interstate. 

Playing at the picturesque Brookvale Oval, the clash promises to be an enthralling encounter between two electric teams carrying aspirations of Super Rugby AU glory.

To make sure every fan has an unforgettable experience, here’s all the important match day details you need to know before tonight's big game!

Rugby Australia COVID Safe Attendance Reminders:

Rugby Australia asks for patrons to be mindful of social distancing rules during the game, sitting in only your allocated ticket seat number or positioning well-spaced on the facilities hill. Hand sanitisers will also be available at the venue.

Most importantly, if you feel unwell, please stay home.

Rebels Merchandise:

BLK team merchandise will be sold at the ground starting at 6 pm, when gates open.

COVID Safe Transport Reminders:

Fans travelling by public transport are reminded that services continue to operate at a reduced capacity to maintain physical distancing across the network.

Allow plenty of additional travel time and plan ahead by checking real-time capacity indicators where available as you may need to wait for the next service with available physical distancing capacity. 

Remember to practise physical distancing when on-board transport services and to look for the ‘green dots’ to find the safest places to sit or stand.

Additional measures and staff will be in place to safely manage crowds arriving and leaving the game so be patient, practise physical distancing and follow the directions of staff on site.

Bus:

Buses will run to a regular timetable with services stopping regularly on Pittwater Rd near Lottoland.

Due to reduced capacity, queues for public transport services to get you to and from the venue may be lengthy so please allow extra time.

Plenty of Sydney Buses and Forest Coach Lines buses run frequently on weekdays and stop at or near the stadium along Pittwater Rd including routes 146, 151, 169, 178, 180, 185, 188, 193 and 199. 

 

B-Line services stop at Warringah Mall which is a short 850m walk along Pittwater Rd to Brookvale Oval.

Light Rail:

L1 Dulwich Hill light rail services run between Central Station (Grand Concourse) and Dulwich Hill. L2 Randwick light rail services run between Circular Quay and Randwick via Central Station (Chalmers Street) and the L3 Kingsford line services run between Circular Quay and Kingsford via Central Station (Chalmers Street).Change at Wynyard on the L2 and L3 lines to connect with buses to the Northern Beaches.

Car:

Traffic may be heavier than usual on Pittwater Road, Old Pittwater Road, Warringah Road and Beacon Hill Road approaching the stadium. If you are planning on driving, allow additional travel time.

Parking:

Limited parking is available in nearby schools, and there is limited parking in nearby streets. Attendees are encouraged to plan to arrive early.
