Mona Taleo, Yuriko Filitonga, Rosabella Asiata and Leki Leilua will all take part in a Super W Youth Girls Camp on the Gold Coast from September 23 to 28.

Hailing from both Melton Rugby Club and Endeavour Hills Rugby Club, the four Victorian girls chosen will come together with players from across the country to receive high quality coaching and participate in educational and practical sessions across areas such as athletic performance, analysis, nutrition, and performance lifestyle.

All four girls are members of the Victorian Youth Girls Under 18 squad, with Rugby Victoria Pathways Manager Cliff Viliamu paying testament to their hard work both on and off the field.

“Mona, Yuriko, Rosabella and Leki have shown a willingness to persevere and put their best foot forward, being rewarded for their efforts,” said Viliamu.

“The talent we have coming out of Victoria continues to grow in leaps and bounds and for Mona, Yuriko, Rosabella and Leki, this has the potential to be the opportunity of a lifetime.”

“Rugby Victoria and the Melbourne Rebels would like to wish our girls all the very best with this opportunity to grow on and off the field and develop into future Super W players and Wallaroos in the years to come.”

Meretiana Robinson has also been handed the first-time honour of attending the Super W Youth Girls Camp as a Coach, with the former Melbourne Rebels Super W Captain excited to witness the talent on display on the Gold Coast.

“I’m looking forward to seeing the skill, ability and drive to succeed of all girls on display over the course of the 5-day camp,” said Robinson.

“To help assist these girls from across all corners of the country to become future Super W stars is an exciting prospect to continue to grow the future of the game.”

Rugby Victoria wishes our girls all the best for their ventures to the Gold Coast!
