The world’s best rugby players are headed back to Melbourne for an action-packed weekend of Super Rugby with ‘Super Round Melbourne’ returning to AAMI Park from Friday March 3 through to Sunday March 5, 2023.

For the first time, Melbourne will play host to all 12 Super Rugby Pacific teams who will face-off for Round Two of the regular season. All six matches will create a trans-Tasman rivalry featuring a side from both sides of the Tasman.

Super Round Melbourne will be more than just rugby with local live music, entertainment, food trucks and bars scattered around AAMI Park for fans to sit back and enjoy.

In an exciting development for the local fans, Melbourne Rebels members can look forward to retaining their existing seats for the Friday night clash against the Hurricanes.

Melbourne Rebels CEO Baden Stephenson said he was delighted to have Super Round return to Melbourne.

“We can’t wait to have our first home game of the season at Super Round, headlining the Friday Night session”, said Stephenson.

“We are so pleased that the Victorian Government and TEG saw the value in the weekend, and we know that with clear air in 2023 and welcoming visitors from all across the Pacific, it will be a fantastic event and AAMI Park will be rocking for all three days.
