The Melbourne Rebels can confirm Reece Hodge will depart the Club at the completion of the 2023 Super Rugby Pacific season. 

The 28-year-old utility will depart the Stockade for France, where he will play for Top 14 Club, Bayonne. 

Hodge, who has 87 caps for the Rebels, is looking to become the first player to achieve 100 caps for the Club, after debuting back in 2015. 

The popular Rebel was determined to leave on a high and make Season 2023 the Club’s most successful campaign ever.  

“I’ve loved wearing the Rebels colours over the past eight seasons and I’m eternally grateful to the Club for helping shape me into the player and person I am today,” said Hodge.  

“I’m intent on doing the jersey proud in 2023 and making it our most successful season ever.”
