The Melbourne Rebels have confirmed their trial games for the 2022 pre-season, with games against the Waratahs and Fijian Drua.
The Rebels will host the Drua at Harlequins in Melbourne’s southeast on February 10. The game, scheduled for 6pm, will also act as a Family Day for Rebels supporters to come and see their favourite players. Further details on the event will be supplied in the coming weeks.
The team will also head north to take on the Waratahs, with that clash scheduled for December 16.
Head Coach Kevin Foote said the games are a great opportunity to break-up the off-season.
“We are excited and grateful to have these two trial games. The game against the Waratahs offers a fantastic opportunity for the boys who have been working hard all off-season to see some new opponents and test out what they’ve been working on.
“While the game against the Drua will allow a final hit out before the season proper starts, and for our fans a great chance to come down and see how hard the boys have been working.”
