The Melbourne Rebels are pleased to announce Sharp Extensive IT as a partner in 2022.

As part of the new multi-year agreement, Sharp EIT’s has provided the Rebels with a MX5071 copier and 3 Dynabook laptops along with custom-integrated touchscreen technology, allowing for a more interactive video analysis experience for the Club’s players and coaching staff.

Sharp EIT’s commitment caps an exciting time for Melbourne’s sole Super Rugby franchise, with the Club in the final stages of completing its world-class High-Performance Centre at its AAMI Park headquarters.

To celebrate the new partnership, Sharp EIT have provided the Rebels with three new touchscreens in preparation for the start of next year’s Super Rugby Pacific campaign.

Melbourne Rebels GM of Football Nick Stiles is thrilled by the technology.

“It’s been incredible to work with Sharp Extensive IT’s commercial and tech team to build these machines that allow our players and coaches to interact and engage with the video technology.”

“The screens will be a key feature in our team room and breakout room, as a part of our new High-Performance Centre. Our players will have the best gym facilities and technology available in the market, thanks to Sharp Extensive IT for being able to build the unique systems for us.”

Sharp Extensive IT Director Mario Bernatovic said the company was happy to be joining the Melbourne Rebels as a partner.

“Sharp EIT have been working with the on-field and commercial team at the Rebels to ensure that they have the best technology and software available to them.”

“One of the key features introduced by Sharp EIT, was the ability to run macOS on the supplied screens to allow them to use their existing video analysis software.

“We look forward to getting along to Rebels Home Games at AAMI Park, starting with the Super Round in February.”
