Yakult’s long-standing partnership with the Melbourne Rebels will extend into its 12th year with a two-year extension announced today.

Yakult, an integral member of the Rebels’ corporate family, is now proudly the Club’s longest-standing corporate partner.

The Rebels’ choice of probiotic will continue to feature prominently during match day at AAMI Park, with Yakult holding branding rights on the goalposts, in addition to strong visibility across the Club’s digital channels.

Yakult is the Melbourne Rebels longest serving partner, after beginning its partnership with the club in 2012. In that time, Yakult has been committed to working with the Rebels and supporting initiatives that benefit the wider community.

The Yakult Young Rebels program gives junior rugby players in Victoria the opportunity to play a mini rugby game during the half-time presentation of Melbourne Rebels home games at AAMI Park - on the same ground as their Super Rugby and Super W heroes.

With Yakult’s support, the Rebels and Yakult were proud to donate $5,000 to the Club’s official charity partner, We Are Mobilise, during the 2022 season. The charity aims to provide assistance and raise awareness of those experiencing homelessness in Australia.

Melbourne Rebels CEO, Baden Stephenson, thanked Yakult for their continued corporate loyalty and support.

“We are so honoured to have our longest-standing corporate partner extend their partnership with us. Yakult are committed to working with the Rebels and supporting initiatives that benefit the wider community,” Stephenson said.

“The Rebels’ ongoing commitment to grassroots Rugby in Victoria is perfectly aligned with Yakult's corporate philosophy of contributing to the health and happiness of people around the world.

“We are so pleased they have supported us in our partnership with We Are Mobilise and join us in raising awareness for homelessness.

“With a shared focus on health and high standards, this is a partnership both parties can continue to be proud of.”

Yakult Managing Director, Mr. Kenji Ono, echoed these sentiments.

“Yakult is pleased to extend our partnership with the Melbourne Rebels for a further two years,”

“The Rebel’s commitment to contributing to the community aligns perfectly with our Corporate philosophy of contributing to the health and happiness of people around the world.”

Yakult was created in Japan in 1935 and launched in Australia in 1994. Yakult products can be found in major supermarkets and various independent grocers around Australia.
