Frank Lomani is an exciting half back, who oozes quality around the breakdown with his silky passing, precise decision making and electric foot work.

Lomani looms as the perfect replacement for outgoing number 9 Will Genia, and his first season at the Rebels will come fresh off multiple 2019 Rugby World Cup performances for Fiji.

While 2020 will be his first official Super Rugby season, Lomani did train with the Rebels during the 2018 preseason as part of a Dewar Shield stint with Power House Rugby Union Club.

Lomani first garnered attention following stellar performances with the Fijian Drua in 2018, where he claimed the NRC Player of the Year title in the side's championship winning year.

Lomani's stellar performances at half back led to the then 22 year-old being selected for the prestigious Barbarians FC side in 2018.

Lomani, along with fellow Rebels squad members Luke Jones and Tom English, helped the Barbarians defeat Argentina 38-35 at Twickenham.

In 2019, Lomani announced he would join the Melbourne Rebels for the 2020 Super Rugby season.

Lomani's Rugby World Cup preparations consisted of the playmaker playing for Fijian Latui in the Global Rapid Rugby competition.

At the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan, Lomani had featured in all four of Fiji's group pool matches, taking his total international caps with his home country to 14.
