Semisi Tupou is an outside back, who hails from Sydney, NSW.
A talented utility back who has exceptional ball skills and possesses lightening pace, Tupou has come from a prodigious junior career having represented the Australian U20s at the 2017, 2018 and 2019 U20 World Rugby Championships.
Tupou appeared in all of the Junior Wallabies side's matches at the 2017 U20 World Rugby Championship.
Tupou made his Super Rugby debut in Round 17 against the Jaguares in Melbourne.
Tupou enjoyed a promising second season, playing five games.
Tupou scored his first try for the Melbourne Rebels in Round 13, 2018 against the Brumbies, in first ever Super Rugby start.
2019 started off brightly for the speedy winger, with Tupou selected in the Round 1 side to verse the Brumbies at GIO Stadium. The return of utility back Reece Hodge from injury and the form of Wallaby wingers Jack Maddocks and Marika Koroibete squeezed the young gun out of the side, however Tupou made a return in Round 8 against the Sunwolves and also earned a starting wing position against the Stormers in Round 9.
Tupou was then selected for the Junior Wallabies in the 2019 Oceania U20 Championship and was an integral part of the side's run to a series sweep, and stunning 24-0 victory over the Baby All Blacks in the final. Tupou again proved his worth as a starting winger in Australia's U20 World Championship's side, playing every match of the tournament, including the side's one point loss to France in the final.
