Following his studies at Fountain Gate Secondary College, Hosea moved north to Brisbane to further his education and rugby at Brisbane Boys College on scholarship in 2017.

Hosea then returned home to play with Harlequins, progressing through the Rebels Junior Gold Cup and Victorian Schoolboys teams before his inclusion in the Club’s inaugural Rebels Emerging Player Program (EPP) in 2016.

Later in 2017 the Melbourne Rebels signed Hosea for the 2018 Super Rugby season as a development player and earned his first ever selection in the Junior Wallabies for both the U20 Oceania Championship and the U20 World Championship.

Following his impressive performances in the second row for both the Junior Wallabies and the Melbourne Rising in the NRC, Hosea was signed on to the Rebels Super Rugby playing list in 2019.

While Hosea did not register a debut for the Rebels, he was a standout for the Junior Wallabies in the sides 2019 U20 World Championship campaign, starting at lock in every match, including the side's one point loss to France in the final.
