Player Bio:Fresh off playing club rugby back home in New Zealand, the 30-year-old travelled to Melbourne in January of 2021, making his Super Rugby debut in the Rebels’ Round 1 Super Rugby AU clash with the Queensland Reds.
The dashing centre won 12 caps during his debut year, using his explosive pace and frequent line breaking abilities to become a mainstay in the Rebels’ starting XV.
Following a memorable maiden Super Rugby campaign – one which included a RUPA Newcomer of the Year nomination and scoring the Rebels fastest ever try, Ili would go on to again represent Samoa internationally.
