Here's what you need to know for Round 6 at the Stockade!

 There’s no place like home!

Super Rugby returns to AAMI Park on Saturday, as the Melbourne Rebels face the Emirates Lions at 7:15pm.  

Following last week’s historic win over the Highlanders, Melbourne’s finest will be looking to make it back to back victories in this international rugby club clash.

It promises to be an action-packed night, so to make sure you don’t miss a second of it, here’s your Round Six match day guide!

Directions:

With on-site parking being limited, public transport is the best way to travel to the big game.

Bus routes within an easy walking distance include:

Bus 246 (Latrobe Uni – Elsternwick Station) stops at the corner of Olympic Boulevard and punt road.

Train stations within easy walking distance include Richmond, Jolimont and Flinders Street Station, which you can walk across via the Tanderrum Bridge.

Alternatively, nearby trams include: Tram 70 (Wattle Park) from Flinders Street and Richmond Stations.

These stop at Rod Laver Arena, Hisense / Melbourne arena and AAMI Park (Stop 7D).

Tram 48 (North Balwyn) and Tram 75 (Vermont South) stops adjacent to the MCG on Wellington Parade.

If you are driving, the Melbourne and Olympic Parks’ Eastern Car Park is the primary parking area, located by heading to Entrance D on Olympic Boulevard.

Depending on availability, you can book parking until 11.59 pm the day before.

If you are purchasing tickets at the ground, Ticketek booths open at 5.30 pm.

Membership collection:

Membership collections will be held in the middle of the forecourt from 5pm onwards. Arrive early to avoid the cues!

Bags:

 To uphold the safety of those in attendance, all bags will be checked upon entrance, so please arrive early to avoid delay.

Bags are permitted into the stadium, however they must safely fut under the patron’s seat without impeding access.

Corporate Hospitality:

 For guests of the Chairman’s Club and Weary Dunlop Lounge (Located at Olympic Room 2 and 3), access will be from Gate 4 from 5:45 pm onwards. 

Food and beverage services commence from 5:45 pm, with the evening’s formalities commencing from 6:05 pm sharp.

Corporate suites will be opening from 6:15 pm onwards, with guests to enter through Gate 5.

Junior Girls Tackle Clinic:

Over the next month Rugby Victoria will be holding game day junior girls tackling clinics for under 11 -15’s.

The first session takes place this Saturday, beginning at Goshes Paddock (5:30 pm – 6:15 pm).

All participants receive a free boot bag and water bottle.

Following this, there will also be an Under 11 Girls Touch 7 game on the south end of the field during the half-time break.
