2007

Represented Australian Schools against England U18s, Samoan Schools and New Zealand Schools.

2009

Selected in the Australian U20s squad for the IRB Junior World Championship tournament in Japan.

2010

Selected in the Australian U20s squad for the IRB Junior World Championship tournament in Argentina.

2013

To’omua won his debut Test cap as a starting No.10 in a 47-29 loss to New Zealand in Sydney. He went on to play in the next nine internationals before a hamstring injury ended his season at the halfway mark of the end-of-season Spring Tour.

2014

To’omua started at No.12 in each of the first 10 Tests, however, two nasty head-knocks in successive weeks against South Africa and Argentina saw him miss the first two matches of the Spring Tour.

2015

He earned a further 10 caps although seven of them came off the bench as one of national coach Michael Cheika’s “finishers”. To’omua was selected to his first Rugby World Cup and played in six of the team’s seven matches.

On November 15, 2015, English Premiership side Leicester Tigers announced to have signed To'omua on a three-year deal, beginning at the end of the 2016 season.

2016

To’omua won two caps, the first as the run-on inside centre in the third Test against England and the second off the bench against New Zealand.

2017

To'omua started the 2017/18 season well starring in eight of Leicester Tigers' nine matches. 

In November 2017 he signed a contract extension to stay with Leicester Tigers up to 2020. 

2018

In August 2018 Leicester Tigers confirmed that To'omua will be granted an early release of his contract at the end of the 2018/19 season to return home to Australia and take up a two and half year deal with the Melbourne Rebels and Rugby Australia.

Internationally, To'omua earned a total of nine caps, including three as the starting inside centre and two as the run-on fly half from the Wallabies' final 10 Tests.

2019

To'omua was granted an early release from Leicester to join the Rebels for their crunch game against the Bulls in Round 14.

To'omua was selected in the Wallabies' 2019 The Rugby Championship squad, playing in all three matches.

The utility back was included in the Wallabies' 31-man squad for the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan. To'omua would go on to play in all five of Australia's matches, including the Wallabies' quarter-final loss to England.
